I do not like not having enough.

I grew up not having enough. It is extremely painful. It planted in me a desire for abundance and redundancy.

Even though abundance and redundancy is not without its challenges.

As I settle back into income-generating work, I find myself thinking a lot about scarcity and abundance, overwhelm and balance, fear and nervous system regulation.

I’ve taken on some freelance projects since February when my divorce was finalized, but I’ve resisted a J O B until now.

I’d hoped to avoid a J O B and instead find ways to get paid for writing what I want to write and building a business. Only I’ve only made a couple thousand dollars from my writing since launching several newsletters many months ago. I’m grateful for every penny people pay me to write what I want to write. It just hasn’t been enough pennies yet to not also write what other people want me to write.
