Not to toot my own horn—no, I’m going to do exactly that.
Sometimes the things I do are really smart.
I make mistakes all the time and still frequently call myself an idiot despite thousands and thousands of dollars of coaching.
Also true: Some of the things I do are really smart and make a lot of sense.
This includes designating a day for grief.
I told myself Wednesdays are for grief, and now I feel grief on Wednesdays.
My body knows to expect it, and Mother Nature even plays along sometimes and darkens the skies. Which I am always so grateful for. Because it is nice to feel in step with Mother Nature.
Today there are storms on the horizon here in DC and in my psyche.
Matchy-matchy helps me feel better when other things don’t feel good.
